ESB connection: learn from members work and achievements during online conferences

We are happy to launch in January the first session of the “ESB connection”, in which ESB members are invited to come and dialogue upon the presentation of one member’s work. Biodiversa+ Partners and scientific members will also be invited to these short conferences.

It is an online session of 45 minutes to 1 hour organised by Biodiversa+ operational team, and to which are invited other ESB members, scientific members of the Advisory Board as well as the interested Biodiversa+ Partners. These sessions are closed to a public audience and are intended to be a platform to share about each other work in an informal discussion format.

Frederik Forsberg, representing SEGES to the ESB and the private sector college to the Advisory Board will be presenting his work on “Measuring action for biodiversity – development of a spatial platform”.

Title: Measuring action for biodiversity - development of a spatial platform

Details: As a consequence of increasing pressure to act on the biodiversity crisis from municipalities and other public landowners, Aarhus University (Denmark) has mapped the 1.) current state, 2.) ecosystem function and 3.) legal protection, in Denmark. This national map has a promising potential but lacks local data for a sufficient overview. At SEGES Innovation we work with Aarhus University, Copenhagen University, farmers and companies from the agricultural sector, to build a platform where data can be added to estimate the effect of local action.
